Sunday Fitness & Food – Brr!

Sunday Fitness & Food – Brr!

By now, it has even has started to cool down here in Palm Beach, at least in the morning and evening hours… I had my first run in over a year in the 50s (Brr!!) today and it felt like pure Bliss! I have to admit my body was in shock during the first mile or two, but then it felt great and I was hoping it will stay around for a few more days!

I just realized this morning that this is the last weekend in January already. I hope all your New Year’s resolution are still going strong!!

Welcome to my Blog. I’m so happy you’re here. I blog about my running journey, my love for healthy food, including gluten-free and vegan recipes, and fun and easy crafts.

Your thoughts here
  1. Hi Ilka,
Thanks very much for featuring my recipe of Black eyed beans stuffed pepper and writing nice words about me. The picture you have shared is of ingredients, not the final picture.

  2. Good morning Ilka – Can’t believe January is almost over either! I wanted to pop by and share some of my new yummy recipes! I’ve linked up my Healthy Superfood Salad a delicious Santa Fe Chicken Bowl (healthy and delicious too) and a peanut butter honey sandwich, YUM! Heading over to visit a couple blog to make new friends. Thank you for a great party!

  3. The 40s and 50s are my ideal running temps!! Glad you could enjoy something other than hot. 🙂

  4. What is totally crazy is that I’ve had three outdoor runs (since last Thursday), and I’m not dressing excessively “warm” for them…three fleece-lined layers has been serving me well (and that’s without a “windbreaker” on top. When our temps reach 40, I’m gonna be out there in a tank top and shorts LOL

    • Running in freezing cold is almost as uncomfortable as running in high heat Kimberly. Both extremes are hard on runners! Soon you’ll get warmer temps!!

  5. Boy did the end of January sneak up on us. I had most of my post finished when it dawned on me I need to check in to see where I am on my goals. I’m trying to do better about being accountable.
Thanks for the linkup each week, Ilka. Holly and I both appreciate yours and Angela’s support! Hope you have a great week!

  6. Wow! I can’t believe you just had your first 50-degree run. Sounds like heaven. 🙂

  7. Thanks so much for highlighting me this week, Ilka! I plan to join your Sunday linkup as much as I can. I appreciate your support of the Weekly Wrap.
