I really enjoyed being taken around a virtual tour through some of the neighborhoods I have never seen. Whether it was just a simple trail, a park or along some gorgeous buildings. Interesting how profound these places become in a runner’s daily life and how they shape your runs.
Well here is a glimpse of my area. I wished I would have taken the time out to take some better pics in the past few weeks, but once you’re in the flow of running it’s always such a debate whether to stop to take a pic or to just keep moving. Most of the time I just keep moving ( it’s already hard enough to stop for traffic lights, isn’t it?)
So, these are some the places where I run:
Nature Trail. Juno Beach, Jupiter, Florida. This is an awesome running trail located next to the Marine Life Center in Loggerhead, Jupiter. It’s a trail with a steady incline for about half a mile. It even offers quite a steep sandy hill at then end of the trail. Half of the trail is pretty much in the shade, you just have to look out for the bugs during the Summer months. On the other hand the extra protein may help your recovery afterwards:).
Ocean Drive, US Highway 1:
I just love running along US HIGHWAY 1, running along the Atlantic Ocean. How exhilarating! Such a beautiful running path. Late at night you get a nice breeze from the Ocean.
Love running to and around Carlin park.
Loggerhead, Jupiter. Somehow a lot of my runs start or end up in Loggerhead these days. Love the vibe of the area. Great picnic and Barbecue area. There seems to be always something going on at Loggerhead.
My treadmill at my Community gym. Not the most exciting Gym in the world, but it’s only footsteps from my house and it does the job whenever I cannot run outside:
Lakeside Park, North Palm Beach:
A nice quiet little neighborhood with some neat little running paths and boardwalk. Love watching the boats going by.
