How to make a picture frame from seashells,
Collecting seashells on the beach with my kids is one of my favorite things in the world. They get so excited when they go on their treasure hunt, equipped with buckets and shovels to find shells in all different shapes and colors and afterwards they can’t wait to bring them home, wash and dry them. We have a huge collections of seashells in our home and I’m planning to turn them into different arts and crafts this Summer. The seashell picture frames in this post are very easy to make. My four year old had tons of fun assembling and decorating them. I found these simple frames at Michael’s Craft store. They offer a huge variety of these kinds of frames. They are very inexpensive, about a Dollar a piece. They look beautiful put up and make great gifts with a personal touch for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day or Birthdays.
Here is what you need to make a picture frame from seashells:
Elmer’s School Glue
Paste glue generously around the frame and stick the seashells onto it. Put on a really thick layer of glue, seashells need to be embedded into glue otherwise they will not stick. The glue dries clear and will not be visible on the finished all-dried-up frame. Set aside and let dry for about 12 hours.
