I’m so happy to share this beautiful Boho inspired flower power peace symbol with you guys today. This craft project is actually pretty easy to assemble and in addition to beautifying your home, it’s is super inexpensive.
It looks simply beautiful in any home decor and front door and makes an amazing and thoughtful DIY gift idea.
Here is what you need:
Green Florist Wire
Faux Flowers and Leaves
You can find simple wire (some come with their own attached cutter) in any hardware or craft store and inexpensive faux-flowers you can find in most dollar or craft stores. I sometimes buy them at the end of season sale just to have them on hand for future craft projects.
This DIY peace symbol is really easy to put together.
Cut about 2 ft of wire and shape it into a circle.
Wrap end pieces around the wire so they don’t stick out.
In order to give your circle more stability, cut about 6-10 inch pieces of wire off and wrap them left, right and bottom around the wired wreath.
…that way your wreath stays better in shape and has a less “flimsy” feel.
Cut more wire to attach the inner branches of the symbol.
Wrap end pieces around wreath to secure them.
Again, add little bit extra wire around the main wires for more stability.
Now cut your flowers and wrap them around the symbol and secure them with the help of some green wire.
Continue, until peace symbol is entirely covered with flowers and leaves.
There really is no specific order on how you arrange the greenery. It really is up to your imagination and the selection of leaves and flowers.
Don’t worry about being too specific with this project. I personally believe the sign turns out really beautiful when you give it lots of creative freedom.
