I’m always thinking about new ways how to recycle all my household items and turn them into crafts. Egg Cartons are a big part of my precious recycling arsenal. I usually try to turn most of my everyday items like, oatmeal containers, paper towel holders and egg cartons into future craft ideas. The possibilities for simple items such as an egg carton are just endless. Egg Carton crafts are also a great way to teach kids about recycling, they are inexpensive and super versatile.
Fact: KIDS LOVE EGG CARTON CRAFTS!
These particular egg carton landscapes are real fun for toddlers. They are also a great sensory outlet. First your child gets to paint the carton with the color of his or her choice that matches their favorite theme. I usually purchase sticker books that offer different theme ideas, like animals, Space, Princess and Castles, Robots, Cars and so on. The fun part is to let your child really set up the scene. Trust me, your child will love it. This craft is so easy and doesn’t require scissors or glue.
What you need:
Paper Egg Carton ( Always make sure the egg cartons you are storing are clean and free of egg spillage)
Non-Toxic Acrylic Paint
Stickers, themes are great
How to make it:
Cover your work surface with some old newspaper and let you child paint the egg carton in the color of choice. If you like to add glitter, sprinkle it onto the paint while paint it is still damp. Let the egg carton fully dry. Once the egg carton is dry let your child decorate the egg carton with stickers.
